Missi Jay grew up in Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plain/plane. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication, she came to Austin to visit a friend and never left. From 1993-1998, she worked for several amazing design studios including Klassen Graphic Design and BAH! Design. In 1998, she started Gigglebox, an illustration-driven design studio. In addition to getting to work alongside the super-creative Rare team, she works with fun local businesses as well as non-profits like Girlstart, Texas Casa, the American Heart Association and the Texas District and County Attorneys Foundation. Her work has been recognized by the Austin Addy Awards and Print Magazine. Missi and her handsome husband Jeff Jay, are expecting a tiny Jay in July.
