Kristen was born and raised in good ole’ Lubbock, Texas. After 17 years of watching tumbleweeds roll by, Kristen left Lubbock and moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. Originally a Biology major, Kristen soon realized that science was just not her thing, and she quickly switched over to Advertising. Completing the Texas Creative Sequence, Kristen graduated in May 2007 with a BS in Advertising, with an emphasis in Art Direction. That summer, Kristen interned at Rare and after many grueling hours of distributing magazines in the hot Austin heat, she landed a job as Junior Designer, coinciding with the magazine’s transition from quarterly to monthly. Kristen still can’t believe that she has a job, let alone at Rare. She loves living in Austin with her new puppy Lucy and is excited to see what things lay ahead.
