Street Seen :: COACHELLA

Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival proved to be a 3-day Urban Outfitters and Free People fashion show in Indio, California this past weekend. Most concert-goers kept their fashions cool, colorful and barely-there.

Simplicity with a touch of flair was essential for the 90-degree sunny days; accentuated with floppy hats, side-strap shoulder bags, red lips and a Dead Weather paper fan. Cut up denim shorts, see-though pale tops, floral dresses, and tiny rompers were spotted at every stage from Florence and the Machine to DJ Rusko. Those who stood out in the massive crowd of 75,000 stepped it up a notch by adding creative, vintage touches with chic fanny packs (yes, fanny packs are chic these days), bright tinted sunglasses, and tribal details.

Gals wearing black chunky boots, lace cut-out dresses, and even leather shorts sprinted from La Roux to Vampire Weekend while the guys kept it uncomplicated in signature T-shirts, Converses and limited-edition shades.
